Support
Phonema helps learners practice English phonics routines on iPad: hear a sound, tap a grapheme, trace it, then blend words.
Common Help
- Microphone permission is optional and is only needed when a learner chooses pronunciation practice.
- Speech judging uses bundled WhisperKit CoreML assets and runs locally on the device.
- Speech output uses bundled Kokoro CoreML assets and runs locally on the device.
- Progress is stored locally on the device.
Before Contacting Support
- Confirm microphone permission is enabled in iPadOS Settings if pronunciation practice is unavailable.
- Restart the app if spoken prompts or pronunciation judging stop responding.
- Make sure the installed app includes the bundled offline speech model assets.
